How Angelo Entertainment started:

In 2005, I relocated to San Angelo, Texas and started Angelo Entertainment Company. I saw an opportunity to create an Outdoor Cinema in the Fort Concho Museum Courtyard.

I got the idea from attending many of the "HBO Summer Series of Movies" showcased in Bryant Park behind the New York Public Library. Across from my office at 70 West 40th Street in New York City.

I put a team together, Radio Station, Website Multimedia Agency, Visual and Sound Production Company and Concession Expert. Once the Team was in place we moved forward and launched Angelo Outdoor Cinema in the beautiful Ft Concho Museum Court Yard.

After the third weekend the Outdoor Cinema was doing well. We ran out of room for customers and the City of San Angelo provided a bleacher row of seats to accommodate more people. We learned the teenagers don't like to sit with their parents and the bleachers worked great for the teenagers.

Shortly after the Outdoor Cinema there was a missing around the San Angelo 4th of July Fireworks Show on Lake Nasworthy. I partnered with the Lake Nasworthy Homeowners Association. Bringing in high profile sponsors; Verizon, Ashley's furniture, Budweiser, Goodyear Proving Grounds, etc. The team generated over $65,000 in cash and in-kind contributions. It has become the biggest 4th of July Fireworks Show in West Texas. It continues every year!

By now, Angelo Entertainment was well known in West Texas. The San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo was about to Celebrate their 75th Anniversary. It is the 6th largest Rodeo in the USA. I was asked to create something out of the original Cattle barn Arena. The building was one of the original landmarks that helped to build the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo into a huge success with a large Midway of rides, food vendors and novelties. The profit has and continues to generate funds for the San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo Organization to provide scholarships to students.

How Aragon Entertainment started

In the late 1980's while living in Los Angeles, CA I was working in the Financial Services Industry. The Company was "Retirement Benefits Systems" and it was affiliated with a Financial Services Company titled "Aragon Financial Services," Inc.

In 1992, I moved back to NYC and I had to come up with a name for my Entertainment Company! I chose Aragon Entertainment Company. My sister Angela sent me the traditional entertainment black silk jacket with the logo "Aragon Entertainment" on the front.

In 2009, I moved to Miami, Florida from San Angelo, Texas and I was unable to continue to use Angelo Entertainment Company. It was already taken by a company based out of Coral Gables, Florida which was nearby to Coconut Grove where I was now living. After learning it was unavailable I was standing on a street corner in Coral Gables. Frustrated and disappointed I looked up at the street sign and I saw that I was standing on Aragon Street in Coral Gables. I then proceeded to learn the name Aragon Entertainment Company was available and I jumped on it!!!
